Serving Size: Serves 6
Ingredients
2 Tbsp. Safflower Oil
6 venison chops cut 3/4" thick
1 large onion, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
1/2 cup dark brown sugar (firmly packed)
Salt and Pepper
6 Tbsp. Ketchup
4 Tbsp. Jack Daniels Black Label Whiskey
Directions
Heat safflower oil and brown venison chops over medium heat in a large skillet. Season with salt and pepper generously. When browned, place the chops in a shallow baking dish. Place one onion slice and a lemon slice over top of each chop. Next combine the rest of the ingredients and spoon it over the top of each of the chops. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Next remove the cover and bake for 25 minutes or until done. Spoon basting sauce over chops occasionally while baking. Enjoy!
