A great combination of meatloaf ingredients with a twist!
Time: 8 hrs • Prep Time: 15 min • Cook Time: 8 hrs
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
1 1/2 lbs. ground turkey
2 cups bread crumbs
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup onion (chopped)
2 eggs (beaten)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
8 slices American cheese (each slice cut in half)
2 tablespoons tomato paste
In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients, except the cheese and tomato paste. Take half of the meat mixture and shape into a loaf. Place eight cheese strips on top of the meat and add the remaining of the meat on top. Seal meat together by pressing the edges together. Put loaf in slow cooker and top with tomato paste and cheese. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
