Marinated Venison Steaks

Marinating your steaks in milk will make your venison even more delicious.

Time: 6 hrs and 15 mins   •   Prep Time: 3 hrs   •   Cook Time: 2 hrs and 15 mins

Ingredients

2 pounds venison round steaks (cut 1/2" thick)
1 cup whole milk
4 Tablespoons flour seasoned with salt and pepper
2 Tablespoons shortening
1 cup water

Directions

Soak the venison steaks in milk for a few hours. Drain and dredge with seasoned flour. Brown in shortening in a 10" skillet. Add water and boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 2 hours or until tender.
