A fast, easy way to prepare fresh trout
Time: 10 min • Prep Time: 3 min • Cook Time: 7 min
Serving Size: 2 people
Ingredients
1 pound trout fillets
1 stick margarine, melted
2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 cup half & half
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Place trout in microwave-safe oblong dish with thickest part of fish facing the edge of dish. Cover with saran wrap, and cook at HIGH power for 3 minutes. Remove from microwave and let stand covered while the cook prepares the following:
Mix melted margarine into bread crumbs. Spread evenly over fish. Pour half & half over top. Return to microwave, uncovered, and cook at HIGH power for 4 minutes. Test the thickest part of fish to see if done. If not done, return to microwave for 1 minute intervals until fish flakes with a fork.
Tips
Served with asparagus spears and a fruit jello salad, this is a tasty treat of a meal!!!!
