Bear Steak in Sour Cream

If you got that bear before he got you, you MUST try this recipe!!

Time: 1 hrs and 15 mins   •   Prep Time: 15 min   •   Cook Time: 1 hrs
Serving Size: 4 people


4 !/2-inch thick bear round steaks
1 small carton of sour cream
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 fresh orange, washed and cut into rings
1/4 cup water


Trim all excess fat from steak, brown in 1 tablespoon cooking oil, remove and put into a casserole dish. Mix sour cream, salt and pepper to taste, thyme, cover the steaks with the orange rings, and pour the sour cream mixture over the top. Cover and cook in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.


Add cheesy mashed potatoes, green vegetable and salad and feel that bear hug on the "inside"!!
